Indian carriers have been asked by the aviation regulatory body to work on guidelines for deplaning passengers quickly in urgent situations. It wants them to come up with a procedure in which passengers can safely make a quick exit in situations that can lead to an emergency.

India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has asked all Indian carriers to submit guidelines on how they plan to deplane passengers safely and quickly in situations that are urgent but not necessarily an emergency.
